How Wokyo Noodle Bar increased sales by 54% using digital billboards

Oodles of noodles.

That’s what Wokyo sells and they’re pretty damn good at it.

They have two locations in Dubai – their original branch in Jumeirah Lake Towers and another near Safa Park Downtown.

Now, fine noodle enthusiasts everywhere know that Wokyo is the place to go to in Dubai. But what people don’t always think of – in Dubai or elsewhere – is noodle delivery.

But seriously, Wokyo wanted to increase their home delivery sales and they wanted our expert help to do it. We were happy to oblige and together, we rolled out a Wokyo DOOH campaign.

The campaign lit up 311 screens across 59 prime locations over a two-week stretch in August, giving Wokyo an impressive audience reach of 75,000+ and racking up over 500,000 impressions.

These strategically placed screens in hotspots like JLT, Business Bay, Downtown, and DIFC were handpicked to connect with Wokyo’s target audience in their key catchment zones.

Wokyo knew their audience and, using Blindspot’s programmatic buying platform, their team crafted custom schedules tailored to peak footfall hours across these locations. By smartly juggling residential and commercial sites, weekdays versus weekends, the campaign maximized reach during critical times of the day.

Ads were precisely deployed with creative variations that considered factors like the nearest restaurant, screen location, audience demographics, and time of day.  This dynamic approach—leveraging Elevision’s high-impact digital billboards and Blindspot’s cutting-edge planning tech—helped Wokyo achieve jaw-dropping results: a 54% month-on-month growth in key locations, all in the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic.

I mean the data just don’t lie.  This campaign is a great example of how any type of business can use smart hourly booking for their digital billboards to increase the effectiveness of their campaign and their sales. By showing ads at key hours during the day and having a complementary online campaign, Wokyo managed to drive significant business results without breaking the bank.
